As the Jews begin to celebrate a number of festivities, the Palestinians hope to dampen our spirits here in Sderot.
After a lull in rocket fire for about a month, constant rocket fire has returned to awaken Sderot residents day after day since the beginning of the week. Probably only through Hashem looking over us have these attacks ended without injury to people, although yesterday a puppy was wounded when a Kassam slammed into the pergola in the backyard of a private Sderot home.
Sunday I was awoken by the siren at about 6:30 am, Monday I was in the shower at about 8:00 in the morning, and today at least 8 Kassams exploded while praying (8:30 am) in an unprotected synagogue where all we could do was to continue praying.
Everyone who lives in Sderot knows that unless the Kassams attacks are brought to an end there is a tradgedy waiting in the winds. How long will it be until a Kassam explodes into a packed synagoge during morning prayers, or a kindergarten (they have hit them before only luckily the children were not there at the time).
The Israeli Government knows that Gaza needs to be dealt with only are they waiting only for a tragedy like a Kassam landing in a packed kindergarten to give them so called "international legitimacy"?
If so this would not be the first time the government has acted only after a tragedy. So I sort of don't have any other forum but this one to put it to the Israeli Government.
Act Now Save Our Lives. (The world respects decisive action and strength), bring the terrorist to their knees once and for all do so quickly and let us inherit the land like G-d commanded us to do.
Good Night from Sderot,
Dov Dalin
